Cookie & Device Storage Policy
This policy explains the cookies, browser storage and similar technologies used by VeyaNeuro for sign-in, security, accessibility preferences and installable-app functionality.
Last updated: 29 September 20261. What this policy covers
UK rules apply not only to traditional cookies but also to technologies that store information on, or access information from, a user’s device. That can include browser local storage, scripts, identifiers and app cache storage.
Where the information is personal data, the UK GDPR also applies. For information about VeyaNeuro personal data more generally, read our Privacy Notice.
2. Storage used by the current VeyaNeuro beta
| Technology / key | Purpose | Typical duration | Current treatment |
|---|---|---|---|
neuro_rehab_coachPHP session cookie | Keeps your secure server-side session working, including sign-in state, CSRF protection and other essential authenticated features. | Session cookie; normally until the browser session ends, subject to server/session behaviour. | Strictly necessary for the service requested. |
veyaneuro_remember | Used only when you choose the “Remember me” feature so a valid remembered login can be recognised. | Up to approximately 30 days, unless revoked or replaced sooner. | User-requested authentication functionality. |
veyaneuro-large-textveyaneuro-high-contrastveyaneuro-reduce-motion | Remembers accessibility choices you make in the app. | Until you change/reset the preference or clear site data. | Appearance/functionality preference. |
veyaneuro-home-display-v1 | Remembers homepage display choices such as text size, contrast and reduced motion when you choose to save them. | Until changed/reset or site data is cleared. | Appearance/functionality preference. |
veyaneuro-dashboard-display-v1 | Remembers dashboard display and optional interface-sound preferences selected by the user. | Until changed/reset or site data is cleared. | Appearance/functionality preference. |
Legacy nrc-* accessibility keys | Older Neuro Rehab Coach preference keys may be read once so an existing user’s accessibility choice can be migrated into the VeyaNeuro key and the legacy key removed. | Temporary migration only. | Preference migration. |
| Service Worker / Cache Storage | Stores selected VeyaNeuro app files locally to improve loading and support PWA/installable-app behaviour. | Until cache replacement, app update, invalidation or clearing of site data. | Technical app delivery/functionality. |
3. Why there is no “Accept all” banner in the current beta
The current build is designed without advertising cookies, cross-site behavioural tracking or non-essential marketing tags. Session/authentication storage is used to provide the service the user asks for.
UK PECR rules also contain an appearance/functionality exception for storage used solely to adapt the service to a user’s preference. Where that exception is relied on, users must receive clear information and a simple, free way to object.
VeyaNeuro’s display/accessibility controls allow users to turn these preferences off again. Clearing VeyaNeuro site data in the browser also removes the stored preferences.
4. Stripe and other external services
VeyaNeuro does not embed Stripe advertising or analytics cookies into ordinary app pages. When you choose to open Stripe Checkout or Stripe’s customer portal, you leave VeyaNeuro for a Stripe-hosted page. Stripe may use its own cookies or similar technologies on that service under its own notices.
If VeyaNeuro later adds third-party analytics, embedded media, advertising, tracking pixels, SDKs or other storage/access technology, NeuroVeya LTD will review whether consent is required before that technology is activated.
5. How to control device storage
- Use VeyaNeuro’s accessibility/display controls to change or switch off saved appearance preferences.
- Sign out to end your signed-in session. Where the remembered-login feature is used, logout/security actions can revoke the remembered token.
- Use your browser or device settings to clear VeyaNeuro cookies, local storage and cache data.
- Removing PWA/site data may sign you out and may reset accessibility or display preferences.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when VeyaNeuro’s storage/access technologies or purposes change. A fresh audit should be completed before wider launch and whenever new analytics, advertising, third-party embeds or SDKs are introduced.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the VeyaNeuro contact page.
